Kola Goodies

Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Sajani Amarasiri founded Kola Goodies in 2021 with the goal of sharing botanical-rich South Asian superfoods she grew up with in delicious, convenient formats for the modern audience. In contrast to other mainstream wellness brands, Kola Goodies ethically sources fresh AF, nutrient-rich ingredients directly from South Asian farmer collectives, building real relationships and investing dollars back into local communities. As the first Sri Lankan beverage brand in the United States, Kola Goodies’ inaugural Super Green Latte reimagines the traditional, centuries-old kola kanda breakfast drink made with gotu kola, also known as tiger grass.

Building on a recipe passed down from her Amma (mom), Sujatha Amarasiri added additional superfoods like moringa and ginger for a truly power-packed beverage. The brand also produces a classic Turmeric Latte, made with Sri Lankan turmeric, and a Sri Lankan Milk Tea made with hand-picked Ceylon tea. In 2022, a portion of Kola Goodies’ sales goes towards providing meals to those affected by Sri Lanka’s unprecedented economic crisis.
